Hrmm... I'm not going to knock artistic ability here as it does look nice, but I'll have to ask a few questions before I believe it's the real deal-
1. What resolution setting are you using? 2. What is your colorspace? What mode are you using? 3. Do you use a mouse, pen? 4. Why are you using Photoshop for this?
I hate to be a jerk, but to the guy who said he was impressed by the photoshop skills of the artist, I'm really not impressed. As someone who's used it nearly every day (for work)since 2.0 (1992ish), I just fail to see what -if anything- spectacular he's doing... You have to understand that guys like me (and there are quite a few) are quite elitist about Photoshop. It's sort of offensive to hear every day how some kid is a genius in PS because he's discovered the clone stamp/extract/filters/etc when you've been doing it most of your life. I think it's wonderful that you can change your own sparkplugs and replace an engine; you're still not an engineer. Know what I mean?
At first glance it looks as if there's some history brush going on, but the larger pic clears that up a little. I'd enjoy seeing the full size picture.

Originally by: Anacrit Mc'Sinister well, tracing is one way, but i can do it better:
you take the screenshot - aply whatever filters you like to male it look hand drawn or painted, or trased or blabla
then you create a new layer and paint it blue!
an fron there on with a use of soft eraser (20%) remove the blue paint while filming the proses, regulaly chenging hardnes and shape or the eraser to make it look more fun.
now i am not saying that he did it - he may indeed took houres to painstakenly trace the thing..who knows. but folow abouve steps and you too can be a great artist.
God just killed a litter of kittens because of you

Done
Work in progress
Starting up
Took me a couple of hours. Used a Mech pencil, a 4b and 6b pencil and two different types of eraser.
I know there are as many ways I could have faked it using a light table or whatever, but, I didn't(period)
I don't have a scanner atm. so bear with the super crappy image quality, the real one is actually crisp.
